His father was a fishing boat captain who turned, later in life, to small time piracy and his mother, in the true Russian way, a baker and a depressive who loved literature and eventually hung herself. Young Alexie performed in “Twelve Angry Men” in a small playhouse off of Kalinin Prospect as Juror number 6. and went on to playing tough guy roles in small television parts during the transition from Soviet to Capitalist Russia. In 1996 his father asked him to come with him to America.
Dr. Ameil Hadrian is a humanitarian - at least in his own mind. His experiments are for the good of the subject and all humanity, even if the subject isn't so keen on having the operation. Eli Happ is a sprightly septuagenerian with a sassy sense of humor. Eli has led an interesting life, from his rough and tumble youth to his travels through the underbelly of New Orleans. A writer and actor, Eli spends much of his free time rocking on his porch coming up with stories with his old Basset Hound, Cohutt, at his home in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Eve is the Daughter of the Inimitable Dr. Amiel Hadrian. Sadly for her, she and her father share little in common. Uninterested in science or the quest for new problems to solve, Eve lives only for closeness and affection. She wants to hug you but, unfortunately, she has the strength of a forklift.
Lilith Hadrian doesn't remember much before about ten years ago. She knows her gravestone shades the ground of the Moorcroft Cemetery next to that of her vanished Husband, Archimedes but she doesn't remember if she was actually ever dead. She well knows her son, Dr. Hadrian, and that he has continued his father's work. In this she acts as assistant and council. Though she is distantly aware that she feels both pride and terror regarding the activities of her son, she cannot quite conceive a future beyond a few days or so, so she remains more or less fixed in his orbit.
Walter Schmitty has been a stage and character actor since his early twenties and premiered in the production of “The Madness at Moorgate Prison” with The CastIron Carousel in 2004. His Hangdog looks and soulful eyes have garnered him a small but devoted following with this troupe as well as from his earlier career.
